Dear MCC Member:
As you may know, the club has purchased a new digital projector. It is capable of projecting your images accurately with fantastic color and tonality. This opens up a new category for digital competition. One that the board feels will encourage more submissions in our new projected digital competition category.
The club’s new digital competition is for you if: You had a busy week and didn't have time to make prints for competition…no problem. Don’t have a printer…no problem. Only shoot JPEG's and don’t have time to “mess” with Photoshop…no problem. Have a point and shoot and your images look pretty darn good…great, we want your entries. Our first digital competition will be Thursday, April 3. Join the fun and take your photography to the next level by submitting up to two images to dale.cox@goodadvertising.com by Saturday, March 29. Instructions for preparing your images can be found on the competition page.
The club has purchased the projector and now we need your help to purchase a laptop with color managed output to complete the system. We are currently “borrowing” a laptop. However, the club needs its own so we can reliably present programs, host guest speakers, plan lessons and workshops, etc. The laptop will cost approximately $1,300, and through donations, we are half-way there.
If you have not yet donated to the club’s laptop fund, I’d like to request that you do so by sending a check to the club’s mailing address:
